ABOUT THE SIGNATURE SHOP & GALLERY
This contemporary gallery features a wide range of art, craft, and well-designed handmade objects by American artists working in clay, fiber, metal, glass, wood, and mixed media as well as exhibitions by well known and nationally recognized craft artists. The Gallery is a haven for collectors and newcomers alike. From the serious collector — to those who dabble — a high quality, one of a kind object may be found to suit any need. Exhibitions of work by a featured artist or group of artists are held regularly and shown in conjunction with the work of represented artists always available in the gallery.

Who You Will Meet
Carr and Chip McCuiston are the owners of the Signature Shop & Gallery. When she's not at the Gallery, Carr is usually looking for new artists or consulting with customers on their collections. Carr has been interested in Craft since she was in high school, and worked with Blanche Reeves, the Gallery's founder and previous owner, part time for several years. Her passion, knowledge and interest has only increased in the nine years she has owned the Gallery.

As designer and manager of the Gallery's Website, Chip is usually working behind the scenes photographing new work and getting it posted for the Gallery's Internet audience.

Scenia Ita, the Gallery manager, has been with us for several years now. Chances are if you call the Gallery you will speak with Scenia.

History
Founded in 1962 by American Crafts devotee, Blanche Reeves, Atlanta’s Signature Shop & Gallery has a history of showcasing the best of our country’s craftsmen. Originally, Reeves had the task of educating Atlantans for an appreciation of the handmade items she exhibited in the gallery. She is credited with launching the careers of many now-famous Southeastern artists such as Ed Moulthrop and Philip Moulthrop.

Blanche’s vision, to promote the best in contemporary American craft, continues to be the focus of the gallery even as a new generation begins. When Blanche permanently retired in 1997, the Gallery was sold to Carr Kortan McCuiston. Today artists who are represented by the Gallery know they will always find themselves in the company of other artists who share their passion and patrons know they can depend on the Signature Shop & Gallery to stay true to its roots.

ABOUT THIS WEBSITE

What's New?
If you are a frequent visitor to TheSignatureShop.com you probably have already noticed the Site's new look. Working in concert with this new look is modified navigation and content. Below are some of the other changes you will find:

At Gallery Artists you will still find all the artists the Gallery represents. Links to the right of each name now indicate which artists have work to view / purchase and which artists have bios. You can go from those links directly to the artist's page — which shows available work, or to the artist's bio — which also shows an example of their work. The Gallery Artists page will be updated often as new work is added or sold from the Site / Gallery and as we begin representing new artists.

The Show Calendar link will list all our upcoming exhibitions, as well as those shows the Gallery has hosted in the past. As always, a link from this page will take you to our current (or most recent) exhibition. Here you may also link to past shows from which we still have work available.

Gallery & Artist News will keep visitors informed on what's going on with the Signature Shop & Gallery, as well as the latest news on your favorite Craft artists. We'll list workshops, kiln firings, teaching appointments and other information of note. We've asked our artists to keep us up-to-date with photos and other bits of information that craft patrons and collectors will find interesting and informative. Material on this page will be dated and revised often to insure you are kept current!

To the right of the View Work graphic are the craft discipline links. In an effort to keep the Site more up-to-date the discipline pages will list only those artists who currently have work to view / purchase from the site or gallery. Upon opening an artist's page, in most cases you will find only work that is available for purchase. As work is sold it will now be removed from the site. We delete sold work daily and will delete Artist Pages when there is no longer work available from them. We add work to Artist Pages when new work arrives and add new Artist Pages when a significant body of work is available in the Gallery.

The Home Page will be updated often as well. Representative images of new work that has been added, a Featured Artist link and image (something new!) and of course, the latest Gallery exhibition will all be featured on this page.

We hope you find these changes have improved our Site and encourage you to visit often. If you have any comments ro suggestions please email us. We would love to know what you think!

HOW TO MAKE A PURCHASE

Our Philosophy on Web Purchasing
We hope to forge personal and lasting relationships with our Internet customers. We also feel that "point and click" purchasing is an inadequate method of selling one-of-a-kind works of art as you will probably have questions about the pieces you are interested in and will need to discuss shipping. We hope you'll find our purchasing method a bit more personal and a lot more satisfactory!

Please do one of the following:

1. CLICK THE "PURCHASE NOW LINK!" BELOW In the email window that opens please list the item numbers of the art you would like to purchase and your contact information (a phone number and address). We would also like to know how you found our Website. We will call and / or email you upon receiving your message and will hold the art until we contact you and a purchasing decision is made.

Purchase Now! (Click)

2. GIVE US A CALL Call us at 404-237-4426. Refer to the item numbers of the art you would like to purchase and we will be glad to answer your questions and make any shipping arrangements necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: Our business hours are 10am to 5:30pm Tuesday - Saturday EST. We will make every effort to contact you as soon as possible.
