This textile assemblage is inspired by architect Adolf Loos and his unbuilt house designed for Josephine Baker in 1927. It is about: making whole cloth from repurposed garments, no cloth waste, responding to the cloth structure, relationship of cloth to sound and movement, 20th century dance. It is two sided, measures 54 x 48" and is made of repurposed linen garments, cotton remnants, voile and wool. It has been machine pieced and hand stitched. Bought one of his pieces at the High Museum. I can't stop loving it. This is by far one of the best modern ceramic pieces I have a pleasure of owning. Can't wait to see what he will come up with next. Thank you.
